What are the methods for disinfecting chopsticks?
(1) Boiling Method: The boiling method is quite suitable for our daily life. After washing the chopsticks, we can place them in water. Boil the water for about 30 minutes; if the boiling time is too short, it won't achieve the disinfection effect. If convenient, you can also steam the chopsticks directly in a steamer. Since the temperature of steam is relatively high, it only takes about 10 minutes. (2) Microwave Method: Disinfecting with a microwave is relatively convenient, but you need to control the temperature and time well. Using medium power for 3-5 minutes is sufficient; however, the microwave may not effectively disinfect everything inside. (3) Home Disinfection Cabinet: Many families now have their own disinfection cabinets. However, when using the disinfection cabinet, the temperature should not be too high, especially when there are plastic chopsticks inside. 2. How to Use Chopsticks Healthily: (1) Rinse the chopsticks with boiling water before use to wash away any dust attached to them. (2) When placing chopsticks in the chopstick holder, make sure they are dry first, as wet chopsticks can lead to bacterial growth inside the holder. (3) After taking out the chopsticks, do not place them on the table; instead, they should be placed on a plate to avoid secondary contamination.
